Summer-so-far photo dump. This summer so far has been about dogs and healing. I am back to having 3 Danes again in life -as we adopted a new best boi a month ago from @eapl_animalrescue, Mr Dudley Do-Right, who is simply the best being to ever exist and is already such a great adventure pal. I’ve been gradually returning to running after peroneal tendon repair surgery in April…and many months of injury prior and being grounded. I’m feeling my endurance and strength inching toward normal and it feels so good. Other than that it’s just been hanging out outside with dogs, wildflowers, too much heat and smoke, wishing it would rain, bears committing crimes constantly at our house, wishing I wasn’t working so much, being grateful I can move again, and trying very recently to find time for photography again. Hope your summer is being good to you ✌️

Apparently Trouble the Bear is awake from hibernation now and has taken to car theft since last summer. At least he was rather polite about it and surprisingly left only one very small scratch, a bunch of bear-butt-dirt on the passenger seat, and some charging cables and cough drops in the driveway. Jokes aside, my heart breaks for Trouble, because his future is not bright. Someone will report him and he will be killed because all of us (including myself) were too cavalier with our trash and bird seed and unsecured human food. (And yes…we will be locking our cars now) but, for now, Trouble the bear lives on to continue his life of crime. 🐻 #blackbear #coloradowildlife #bear #mountainlife #evergreencolorado
